Hello Friends,

 

I am sharing my interview experience at Uber for the L5A position. I won't be able to share exact questions but high-level ideas. I have got a confirmation on selection however have not received formal letter.

 

I interviewed for L5A, DE role, however, they have given me the option to select any team I wish.

 

Round 1. Medium leetcode question (NO DP, GRAPH, SEGMENT TREE type question) + follow-up question on the same. Follow-up was more on solving the same problem with a huge input set. For me, I didn't code follow-up questions but discussed them in detail, explained the approach in a notepad.

 

Round 2. Medium complexity problem, more of a real-world problem. Ex - Rate Limiting API requests. You need to code it (a few functionalities). I was asked a medium SQL question as well.

 

Round 3. System Design

 

Round 4. HM - Detailed discussion on previous projects, challenges faced philosophical questions.

 

Round 5. Bar Raiser - I had implemented a KV store as a pet project so we discussed this for 1 hour. Database-related problems like index, cache, hash algorithms, etc.
