On-Campus Interview (IBM Associate Consultant, India)
Round 1: Online Test
- Coding Assessment (45 mins): 1 coding question on hackerrank. 9/10 test cases passed. (Elimination Round)
- English Language Test: Basic english test comprising of questions related to synonyms, correct spelling, correcting sentences etc.
Round 2: Interviews
- Interview 1: After a brief introduction, the interviewer asked about SQL queries, DBMS concepts and different OOP concepts. Along with that, he gave me stars triangle pattern and asked to write its code/logic. He also asked the difference between multiprocessing and multithreading. So, prepare these subjects accordingly. Nothing was asked from my resume, as such.
- Interview 2: This took place 2-3 days after my first interview. It started with interviewer's introduction, followed by mine. The interviewer asked my past internship experience and also asked my preferred language, to which I replied, Java. He asked constructor overloading and related concepts. He asked me a probability problem in which I had to use permutations and combinations concept. He also gave me this question for reasoning (https://www.quora.com/How-many-matches-will-be-played-between-100-players-in-knockout-tournament). This interview was about 25 minutes long.
The next evening I got a mail from my college placement cell for getting selected for this full time offer.
