Recently I got a verbal offer from a company for sde role. I am rightnow working in an mnc as a support engineer and trying to make a switch from support to dev. After 2 weeks HR is saying like the job position is on hold and so they cannot provide the offer right now and that they will definitely provide the offer if the hold is released or when a new position comes in. They are telling like may be after a month the position will be back but they did not assure. So Should I consider waiting till then?

Can you give details like name of the company , compensation offered , etc. ??

In general you shouldn't be dependent on verbal offers , only when you receive the written formal offer letter consider you got the job and the apply for resignation ..

As you have some time you can play in the market and try for some more companies and give their sde interviews :) :)
