What should I do till I have no work assigned in my current service based company. And when should I start applying for product based company | 2022

I am working in a service-based company from June 2021. I was assigned to a project which got over in 2 months. And now I am assigned to a project and no work is assigned yet. I want to switch to a product-based company. I am doing dsa. Should I make 2-3 projects of my own as in college I did not make any good projects which I can showcase in my resume. And my bond is 2 years( June 2023) and 90 day notice period. So when should I start applying for product-based companies? And does 2 years bond period include 90 day notice period? Or after 2 years more 90 days, I have to serve?
