For the first quarter of the 2025 fiscal year, Accenture expects revenues to range between $16.8 billion and $17.4 billion, which is a 2% to 6% increase compared to last year. For the full year, the company reported revenue growth of 2%, reaching $64.9 billion. In the August quarter alone, Accenture generated $16.4 billion in revenue, reflecting a 5% increase year-on-year.

Accenture is making exciting plans to expand its workforce in India! During a recent investor call, CEO Julie Sweet announced that the company is prioritising hiring in the country, especially in technology roles. This move not only addresses Accenture's growth strategy but also reinforces its commitment to leveraging the immense talent pool in India.

With over 300,000 employees in India—out of a total of 770,000 globally—Accenture has shown a strong presence in the Indian market. In the 2024 financial year, the company welcomed 41,484 new team members, with over 24,000 joining in just the August quarter. Accenture follows a September-August financial year, and this hiring spree highlights its focus on expanding capabilities in technology, which is a significant growth driver as the company looks ahead to FY25.

In addition to hiring more talent, Accenture’s board has also approved a substantial $4 billion share buyback plan, raising its total authority to approximately $6.7 billion. This decision, coupled with a revised revenue forecast of 3% to 6% growth for the 2025 financial year, showcases Accenture’s optimism about its future. The company attributes this positive outlook to a more favourable macroeconomic environment and the recent interest rate cuts by the US Federal Reserve.

Accenture's impressive performance extends to its new bookings as well. In the 2024 fiscal year, the firm achieved a record $81.2 billion in new bookings, marking a 13% increase from the previous year. In the fourth quarter alone, the company secured GenAI bookings worth $1 billion. Sweet highlighted that these achievements were made possible through strategic leadership in Generative AI, a transformative technology expected to shape the industry over the next decade. The firm secured $3 billion in new bookings from this technology alone.

In her message to employees, Sweet also acknowledged that while smaller deals typically convert to revenue faster, reduced client spending on these deals had an impact on growth this year. Nevertheless, Accenture remains optimistic about its future, continuing to invest in its business and positioning itself for strong growth.

So, for techies in India, this news is a beacon of hope! With Accenture's ongoing commitment to hiring and innovation, there are more opportunities on the horizon. Whether you're a fresh graduate or an experienced professional, the tech landscape is buzzing with potential, and Accenture is leading the way

Accenture new research finds that companies with AI-led processes outperform peers.

According to the report, ‘Reinventing Enterprise Operations with Gen AI’, globally, the number of companies that have fully modernized, AI-led processes and have achieved intelligent operations has nearly doubled from 9% in 2023 to 16% in 2024.

New research from Accenture (NYSE: ACN) indicates that 79% organizations in India have seen investments in generative AI and automation meet or exceed expectations, with 64% planning to increase their efforts and further strengthen these capabilities by 2026.

According to the report, ‘Reinventing Enterprise Operations with Gen AI’, globally, the number of companies that have fully modernized, AI-led processes and have achieved intelligent operations has nearly doubled from 9% in 2023 to 16% in 2024. Compared to peers, these organizations achieve 2.5x higher revenue growth, 2.4x greater productivity and 3.3x greater success at scaling generative AI use cases. In what is a key highlight, the research found that in India the corresponding number of companies that have fully modernized, AI-led processes, and intelligent operations has tripled from 8% in 2023 to 25% in 2024.

Findings also assessed that these ‘reinvention-ready’ companies are moving faster and are amplifying the impact of generative AI across the business. Enabled by a digital core, in India, these organizations have already developed generative AI use cases in finance (76%), IT & security (65%), customer service (63%), and other core functions.

While the research indicates that some companies are reinvention-ready—moving to the highest level of operations readiness—a majority, 64% globally, and 58% in India, still struggle to change the way they operate. The reasons for this are universal.
Globally, organisations lag behind on building a robust data foundation. For example:

  • 61% report that their data assets are not ready for generative AI yet
  • 70% find it hard to scale projects that use proprietary data.
  • Across the world, the deep dependency on people is often overlooked:
  • 82% of companies at the early stage of operations readiness, have not applied a talent reinvention strategy, planned to meet workforce needs, or acquired new talent or training to prepare workers for generative AI-led workflows.

In fact, many executives (78%) indicate that AI and generative AI are advancing too fast for their organization’s training efforts to keep pace.

The findings are an outcome of an Accenture survey of 2,000 executives, across 12 countries and 15 industries. This included 200 senior executives (81% CXOs) from companies headquartered in India.

“Most executives understand the urgency of reinventing with generative AI, but in many cases their enterprise operations are not ready to support large scale transformation,” said Arundhati Chakraborty, group chief executive of Accenture Operations.

“Generative AI is more than the technology. It is a driver of a mindset change that impacts the entire enterprise. It requires organizations to have a strong digital core, data strategy and a well-defined roadmap to change the way they operate. Additionally, an end-to-end perspective leveraging talent, leading practices and effective collaboration between business and technology teams is essential for intelligent operations.”

The report highlights four key actions business leaders should take to advance their operations maturity:

Implement a centralized data governance and domain-centric approach to data modernization. Connect processes and tools across functions to ensure people have a clear understanding of how to create, handle and consume data, which should be structured in a standardized way to be accessed by AI tools across the business.

Embrace a talent-first reinvention strategy. Reinvent work and rethink processes and entire workflows to gain a clear view of where generative AI can have the most impact in serving customers, supporting people and achieving business outcomes.

Ensure business and tech teams co-own reinvention. Collaboration drives innovation as both teams jointly own how assets, platforms and products are developed to leverage the full capabilities of generative AI, enterprise wide.

Adopt leading processes to drive business outcomes. Apply cloud-based process mining to calibrate internal and external benchmarks so it’s easier to visualize process gaps and get clear insights into operational inefficiencies or opportunities for improvement.

Accenture reveals hiring plans in India; 30,000 new jobs including 6,000 for freshers

9271 Views | 10 Nov 2024, 06:02 PM | TechGig Bureau

This recruitment process is in line with the company’s plans to cater to the increasing market need for digital and technology services and improve operations in India, one of the Worldwide Skills Centres for talent.

According to various media reports, Accenture is set to hire 30,000 new professionals this year, including 6,000 junior-level employees.

This recruitment process is in line with the company’s plans to cater to the increasing market need for digital and technology services and improve operations in India, one of the Worldwide Skills Centres for talent.

“We are hiring primarily in India, so a lot of that hiring is technology in India, and of course, it also addresses refreshing our pyramid at this time,” said Julie Sweet, Accenture CEO, during the company’s Q4 results.

She added, “You’ve got kind of the new college graduates coming in, so there’s no change in our talent strategy.”

Lateral hiring
At Accenture, much attention is paid to a lateral hiring approach shifted to experience professionals with specific expertise in certain functions such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data analysis, among others.

These are important in enabling the firm to offer sophisticated solutions specific to the project and when used on huge problems. With a larger talent pool in the ‘lateral’ system, the company wants to improve the fulfillment of various client demands and be able to rely on specialist consultants to help clients in their digital transitions.

Fresher hiring
Not only lateral hires, but the company will also hire fresh graduates with abilities in new technologies and digital solutions. Thus, young professionals increase the level of innovation and bring new valuable visions to the company’s organizational culture focused on constant learning and transformational processes.

These new employees enroll for effective training and development that make them fit for the company’s strategic positions as they aim for long-term employment. Through the effective use of entry and experienced hires, Accenture sets up for itself a workforce that is capable of meeting current client demands while at the same time cultivating for future human capital growth.

Focusing on India in this hiring, Accenture is primed to sustain its leadership in the sphere of digital transformation services in the world, employing a versatile, efficient workforce to counter the major competitors in the global market

Accenture expands Gen AI-powered cybersecurity services and capabilities to accelerate clients resilience and reinvention

Cybercriminals are increasingly using gen AI and dark large language models (LLMs) to launch new types of cyberattacks. In fact, Accenture’s cyber intelligence (ACI) researchers have observed a 223% surge in deepfake-related tool trading on dark web forums in the first quarter of 2024, compared to the same period in 2023.

Accenture (NYSE:ACN) today announced new services and capabilities designed to reinvent business and cyber resilience through the power of gen AI, deepfake protection and quantum-safe data security solutions to help clients across industries become cyber-resilient organizations.

The ACI team expects a significant rise in AI-driven cyberattacks, a warning signal that organizations need to adopt advanced AI-based cybersecurity measures that detect, respond to, predict and prevent threats in real-time.

“Modern cybersecurity protects across the entire business—from the digital core to the supply chain—and draws on gen AI-powered and quantum-proof protections, which are vital as cybercriminals ramp up new kinds of attacks using advanced AI technologies,” said Julie Sweet, chair and CEO, Accenture. “Our new cybersecurity services and centers help our clients use the latest technologies to safeguard their critical assets and increase their resilience, so they can reinvent with confidence and create more value faster.”

New Cybersecurity Services

According to Gartner® concern about AI-enhanced malicious attacks again topped Gartner, Inc.’s emerging risk rankings in the second quarter of 2024. To help clients safely adopt emerging technologies while simultaneously tackling evolving threats, Accenture is introducing new services, which it also employs to protect its business operations. Some of these include:
⦁ Secure AI Solutions establishes resilience throughout an organization’s entire AI program lifecycle, including best practices for developing frameworks; policies and processes to ensure secure AI practices; capabilities to assess and protect access, data, models, infrastructure and building trust-by-design in AI systems. It also incorporates red-teaming and adversarial simulations that help find vulnerabilities in AI systems, including LLMs and a Gen AI Security Diagnostic to detect and secure unauthorized AI deployments.
⦁ Deepfake Protection includes security testing, monitoring and detection of deepfakes powered by key partners’ technologies such as ⦁ Reality Defender to stay ahead of evolving AI threats that are impacting customer contact centers, business videoconferences and other critical points of communication.
⦁ Business Cyber Crisis Recovery a cloud-based solution enables C-suite leaders across industries such as healthcare, telecommunications and oil & gas to quickly restore essential infrastructure and significantly reduce the downtime impacts associated with recovering from a cyberattack. As a result, essential operations can be restored in hours rather than weeks.
⦁ Quantum Security Suite of services for building robust strategies, discovering vulnerable encryption throughout an enterprise and replacing outdated technology by leveraging the latest quantum-safe algorithms recommended by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology and orchestrating their use securely and efficiently

Core Cybersecurity Services – Newly Powered by Gen AI

Many organizations (86%) are either actively or planning to consolidate their tools as a means to streamline their cybersecurity operations . In response, Accenture is powering its core cybersecurity offerings with the Accenture mySecurity a centralized suite of assets that integrates gen AI into all cyber-resilience services across supply chain, cloud, application, cyber resilience and identity and access management to drive speed, efficiency and help clients protect against AI-driven threats. These include:

For example, Accenture is actively working to shield nations from cyberattacks and is helping the Kuwait Government Central Agency for Information Technology to strengthen their cybersecurity infrastructure through the establishment and management of a National Security Operations Center. This collaborative effort aims to enhance visibility, detection and remediation capabilities against evolving cyber threats. The project will be supported by Accenture's global network of Cyber Future Centers supported by a 24/7 local team focused on protecting the nation's most critical organizations leveraging the benefits of gen AI.

New Cyber Future Centers

Additionally, delivering these new cybersecurity services Accenture will expand its global network of advanced cybersecurity facilities with new Cyber Future Centers powered by emerging technologies. The new locations include a flagship gen AI Security studio in Brussels and a studio in Washington, D.C.; a Quantum Security Center and Lab and a Cyber Physical Security center in Bengaluru; and a Sovereignty Hub in Malaga. With these new centers powered by gen AI and quantum security solutions, Accenture’s cybersecurity facilities currently span more than 40 locations across 22 countries.

In 2024, the number of Accenture's cybersecurity professionals grew by more than 30% to more than 25,000 people. Since 2015, Accenture has made 19 security acquisitions, including most recently strengthening its managed security services capabilities in Europe and Mexico with the acquisition of Innotec Security and Mnemo Mexico, respectively. Additionally, Accenture has invested in 13 cybersecurity, space and quantum security companies, including SpiderOak and Aliro Quantum.
