IT giant, Cognizant is expanding its team in India and hiring for various roles, recently the company has posted 441 jobs on its Carrer Page.
In 2023, Cognizant’s headcount decreased by 7,600 employees to 347,700, as per its annual report. However, the Nasdaq-listed IT firm’s year-end headcount was 1,100 higher than the previous quarter, reaching 347,700. Cognizant follows a calendar year for reporting.
According to Cognizant’s annual report, out of its total workforce of 347,700 employees, approximately 254,000 are based in India. This figure underscores India’s significance as the company’s largest talent pool, highlighting the country’s pivotal role in Cognizant’s operations and global presence.
Cognizant has highlighted its adoption of AI technologies like GenAI in client services and internal operations. Yet, it acknowledges that AI advancements could decrease demand for services or impact pricing, potentially leading to workforce reductions.

The company has posted 441 hybrid jobs for locations across the country like; Chennai, Bangaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Kolkata, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Coimbatore, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Noida, and Bhubaneswar etc.
Mostly the positions are for Technology & Engineering domain, and other positions include IT Infrastructure, Business Processes, Consulting and Corporate jobs.

Additionally, Cognizant expanded its collaboration with biopharmaceutical giant Takeda, alongside forging new partnerships and agreements, reflecting its commitment to growth and innovation.
