Job Description
Your Career
We are searching for an innovative Engineer lead to join the IT Customer Experience Team. As a Software Engineer, you will engage with multiple engineering teams (application / InfoSec / SRE), but focused on the customer support portal which is the gateway for all our customers. This will require you to engage heavily with various product functions (Engineering, UX, QA) as well as IT teams such as infrastructure. Given Palo Alto Networks is the leader in cyber security, this is a fast paced environment and requires a wide array of skills.
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong desire to find the balance between stability, features and time to market. Drive all decisions with data and be able to articulate outcomes at multiple levels in the organization (from execs to associate engineers).
Your Impact
- Be completely at ease implementing and designing systems at e-commerce scale
- Determining project requirements and developing work schedules for the team
- Drive alignment across development teams in a data oriented and transparent way
- Balance security debt, product stability and features against a backdrop of go to market pressure
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Mentor and challenge engineers to continue to grow in their discipline
Qualifications
Your Experience
- 6+ months years of relevant experience in software development
- Full stack system architecture (API / Web / DB / Distributed systems)
- Front end - Javascript (Angular/React) add on
- Back end - Java (Spring Boot, Spring Security)
- DB - Relational - At least one of the following MySQL/MSSQL/PostgreSQL/MSSQL/ RDS NoSQL - At least one of the following - MongoDB / FireStore / Redshift/GCP SpannerPlatforms - Nice to have (Optional)Knowledge of the following - GCP / AWS / Azure
- Knowledge of the following - Docker, Kubernetes, HelmExperience working with Redis or EHcache
