Cellular RF Internship – Hardware – Europe
Strong skills in embedded firmware development (C/C++) and Python programming
Knowledge in mobile communications (2G/3G/4G/5G)
Strong problem-solving and communication skills (English)
Ability to work on multi-functional projects with a globally located team available for 6 months or more
We have the following roles open :
1. RF Firmware Engineer Internship
As a member of RF Firmware Intern, you will work on real challenges the team faces on upcoming products. In this role, you will contribute to the development of embedded systems for cellular RF transceivers and radio systems. You will work on the design, implementation as well and verification of our real-time control firmware with all aspects of embedded software development.
2. Cellular RF Systems Engineer Intern – Phase Locked Loop
In this role as an RFSE PLL intern, you will be part of the best-in-class cellular RFSE Team. You will work closely with transmitter and receiver architecture, RF design and Silicon Validation teams. Your daily work includes the following tasks:
Learn PLL and clock architecture basics Work on real challenges to improve the PLL performance.
Help to develop use cases in Python to measure PLL performance and optimize algorithms and settings.
Develop scripts in Matlab and Python to evaluate measurement/simulation results.
3. Cellular RF Receiver Systems Engineering Intern DSP
In this role as a Systems Engineering Intern, you will work closely with best-in-class engineers who develop the next generation of wireless solutions. With mentorship, you will participate in the creation of system models and system performance simulations.
Education & Experience
Currently enrolled in your penultimate year of studies in a CE, EE, CS or related field (Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD).
Additional Requirements
The minimum salary under the CBA amounts to €33,619 gross per year for full-time employment. Actual salaries are oriented at current market salaries and take your qualifications and experience into account.
Strategic In-region Engineering Project Manager Intern – China
The Engineering Project Manager intern (EPM) will work at the system level, shipping iPhone/iPad/iPod/Apple Watch or Apple Accessories products in engineering/quality improvements/new suppliers qualification areas. This particular role will focus on driving engineering & quality improvement qualifications. The EPM intern will coordinate with system/PRQ EPMs to lead multi-functional teams and China OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) teams to resolve engineering issues seen from mass production, supply situations and field returns.
This role includes identifying, evaluating, and driving the various activities while communicating the risks, priorities and schedules.
Assist system EPM to lead multi-functional engineering teams towards completion of qualifications
Work closely with Quality, Engineering and Operations teams to complete qualifications
Succinctly communicate the overall status of qualifications across functional team
Travel to China domestically or to the US to drive builds where needed
Qualifications
Bachelor and above, in ME/EE/CE
Current Junior or rising Senior student with a BS degree in ME/EE/CE areas
Strong multidisciplinary, technical background
Experience in multi-tasking and project management
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (In both Chinese and English)
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience with consumer electronic companies
Experience in working with China OEMs in high-volume production products
Knowledge of high-volume manufacturing processes
Willingness and ability to travel domestically/internationally
Pursuing a master's Degree in a relevant field
Available to join internship/co-op full-time for 9-12 months
